As one of American Motorcycle Association’s largest ice races in the country, the 2012 AMA Racing Ice Race Grand Championships is where athletes young and old, amateur and pro, come together to show their speed and talent on a world class stage, in front of thousands of fans. In fact, many of the nation’s best ice and flat track racers will come to Lake Cadillac in Cadillac Michigan at Mitchell State Campground this February and race bar-to-bar, for a chance to take home their share of the purse and bragging rights in the form of winning the National #1 plate.
Starting at 9am on Saturday morning, fans will watch the ice racers roll out onto the 1/2 mile ice track for the first time during their morning practice. Ice racing fans will see who has the speed to run at the front of the pack and likely have a chance at the 2012 championship in their respective classes. Racing will follow practice and continue till the end of the day.
On Sunday amateur racing continues not to mention the Kold Kutter Shootout with a purse of $5,000 dollars will attract the Nations Pro riders like Harleys Davisons Jared Mees, Factory Monster Kawasaki rider Henry Wiles, Bryan Bigelow and more.
